Testa di Cristo (eseguita da Ada Felicetti Castelli)
Questa mattonella in maiolica (produzione F.A.M.A.) è in realtà opera di Ada Felicetti – all’epoca non ancora coniuge di Aldo Castelli – da un bozzetto di Aldo per l’affresco (purtroppo non più esistente) del “Buon Pastore” creato nella cappella del Sanatorio di Ascoli Piceno intorno al 1938, e in seguito andato distrutto durante una radicale ristrutturazione dell’edificio (vedi foto del bozzetto e dell’affresco stesso durante la sua creazione nella sezione Dipinti e Disegni).

This majolica tile (F.A.M.A. Manufactures) is actually a work by Ada Felicetti – who at the time wasn’t yet Aldo Castelli’s spouse – from one of Aldo’s preparatory sketches for a fresco (unfortunatly now lost) titled “The Good Shepherd” created in the chapel of the old Sanitarium in Ascoli Piceno around 1938, and later destroyed during a radical remodeling of the building (see photos of the sketch and of the fresco in the works under the Paintings and Drawings section).
